We provide attic, exhaust venting and ducting inspections. Our inspection includes a detailed scope of repair outlining any necessary changes to ducting and venting. The exhaust and dryer vents must be correctly vented through the roof to control moisture causing mold.
One of the most common problems we find is dryer venting not positively connected to the roof vent. A dryer produces a hot moist air and if not connected creates an environment in the attic which causes mold growth. This photo is a containment booth set up by KCL during repairs on an attic.
On completion of any attic inspection and/or repairs made, KCL places an inspection card with a date stamp of what was done and what anti-microbial may have been applied.
Attics can be affected by windstorm damages. If the storm is strong enough to blow out the soffits it has likely also affected the insulation within the attic. This is why when we are called out to repair windstorm soffits our services include an attic inspection to ensure that the insulation is redistributed.
